New PowerPoint flaw used in attacks

Attacks from another front!. ComputerWorld Help Desk reported yesterday that "Attackers have found another hole in Microsoft Corp.'s Office products. On Thursday, Symantec Corp. reported that it has discovered a targeted attack that takes advantage of an unpatched vulnerability in Microsoft's PowerPoint software."

The attack uses an e-mail that contains "a PowerPoint attachment that [installs] two pieces of malicious code when opened; a Trojan horse program called Trojan.PPDDeopper.B and a backdoor program called Backdoor.Bifrose.E.
