In a story reminisant of the Veteran's Administration laptop computer that was stolen recently, a new computer theft has put thousands of New Yorkers ar risk for Identity Theft.   The computer belongd to a Chicago-based company that handles New York special Workers' Compensation claims but the theft was not reported to the company by an employee for over a month!  As this story unfortunately shows, no matter how carefully you attempt to protect yourself from the risk of Identity Theft, there is always the possibility of something happening that is outside your control
